Yes - and many of our students start with zero Italian. The path takes longer (usually 9–12 months of consistent weekly lessons), but it is absolutely possible. Veronica will build a structured plan from your very first "Ciao."
It depends on your starting level and how much time you can study between lessons. Rough benchmarks: A2 → B1 in about 3–4 months with 2 lessons per week; A0 → B1 in about 9–12 months. The free trial includes a level check so we can give you an honest estimate.
Both - and the balance shifts as you progress. From day one, Veronica speaks Italian at a level you can actually follow, and uses English only when it genuinely helps you understand. By B1, lessons are almost entirely in Italian.
Reschedule up to 24 hours before - no charge. Inside 24 hours the lesson counts, but Veronica will send catch-up materials so you don't lose the week.
All lessons are currently private one-on-one - which is part of why students progress so fast. Each lesson is built around exactly what you need.
Every lesson comes with custom materials: PDFs, audio recordings, slides, video clips, flashcards, articles, quizzes, and short homework assignments. Everything is built for English-speaking learners.
The CILS B1 Cittadinanza is the Italian exam required for citizenship by descent, marriage, or naturalization. It tests reading, listening, writing, and speaking at B1 level. Veronica has helped students pass this exam many times - she'll walk you through what to expect and run realistic mock tests as the date approaches.
The trial lesson is free. After that, you can pay lesson-by-lesson, buy a 10-pack to save 10%, or set up a structured Cittadinanza Path. No subscriptions, no surprise charges - you only pay for what you book.
